Military & Veterans

Alone

Isolated, even in a crowd. Losing the tight-knit unit can leave a hole civilians rarely understand. Reconnecting with those who served answers that isolation.

What it can feel like

Missing the brotherhood and sisterhood of your unit, feeling like civilians cannot relate, and withdrawing after separation. The camaraderie that defined service is suddenly gone.

Why it happens

Few bonds match a military unit, and civilian life rarely replaces it automatically. Transition, relocation, and feeling misunderstood deepen the isolation many veterans face.
