Numb

Feeling nothing at all. Sometimes everything gets to be too much and you just feel... nothing. That flatness is worth telling someone about.

What it can feel like

Not caring about school, friends, or things you used to love. Feeling empty or like you are just going through the motions. Scrolling for hours without really feeling anything.

Why it happens

When stress, pressure, or something painful gets overwhelming, your mind can go numb to protect you. It can also be a sign of depression — especially in teens.

What can help

Telling a trusted adult or counselor helps, even if you cannot fully explain it. Small things that engage your senses or body can help feeling come back. You deserve support, not judgment.
